Green River Whistler

Rafting

Length: 8km, 3 hours
Dates: June to September
Times: 1:30 pm or custom departure time

ScenicJoin the REO team for an amazing rafting tour of the lower Green River canyon. Departing from Whistler Village, we’ll then take a short 25-minute drive to Nairn Falls Provincial Park. While our guides hike our rafts and equipment upriver, our naturalist guide will take you on a wonderful 1 km hike to the base of the incredible Nairn Falls. At the falls, the Green River narrows and is then squeezed through a maze of bedrock, dropping 195 feet (60 meters). The falls, whirlpools and underwater passages are visible from two large viewing areas.

Upon returning downriver to our rafts, we will then embark on our 8 km rafting adventure. The first rapids are the biggest, two juicy Class 3 sections (intermediate). These rapids can be avoided for those wishing to take a clean (and dry) line. Most of the remaining trip is Class 1-2 (easy), with spectacular views of Mt. Currie and the Coastal Mountains. Possible wildlife views include beavers, deer, mergansers, eagles and ravens.
